An Original Rendering Of The Rich Hebrew Of The Most Beloved Psalm – The 23rd Psalm “(The) LORD (be) Shepherd Of Me”

Verse 1

(A) Song In His service expressing the pleasure in feeling (the) LORD’s exaltedness and wonder, for/with direction toward David (“Beloved”); (the) LORD (be the) Shepherd of me I shall not personally lack

Verse 2

In pleasant lush pastures of tender grass He actively causes me to lie down; upon waters of restfulness He leads, simply, (the) weak

Verse 3

(The) life, person, personal being of me He repeatedly restores back completely to (a) former condition; He actively tenderly guides me, weak (as I am) in straight paths of righteousness for (the) sake of His Name

Verse 4

Yea, even though I walk – strive towards (a) goal – through (a) valley overshadowed by deep, death like, gloomy darkness, I personally will not fear evil for You stand, stand in preparation with me; your rod (a) stick used by (a) Shepherd to gently control his flock and Your staff (a) supporting staff (a) stick to lean on when rest is needed, these repeatedly comfort me

Verse 5

You lay out in preparation before my face (a) table opposite my adversaries; you repeatedly saturate with oil, my head, my cup of satisfying abundance overflows

Verse 6

Surely, only good(ness) well-being and abounding overflowing royal acts of lovingkindness mercy, mercy translated into action, will pursue me (the) whole totality of (the) days of my life; and I will reside in (the) House of (the) LORD, for (the) length of days
