INTRODUCTION – FLOUR WITHOUT END – KEYS TO OPENING UP KEY WORDS IN SCRIPTURE

INTRODUCTIONGETTING THE MOST OUT OF THIS

Following is a list of some of the “key” words in the Bible. With the LORD’s help, as we would say in Hebrew – the language of the LORD – we will open up keys to both the Hebrew and Greek meaning from each language, as appropriate.

We will open up the Hebrew original or Hebrew behind KG words, as appropriate. This will help you we very much hope (!) – to see much of the actual Hebraic thought that underlies the RCS! Sometimes this Hebraic thought or expression cannot be brought out in translation. Speaking the truth in love (Eph. 4:15), unfortunately far too often Western Tradition is insensitive or unaware of Hebraic underpinnings; or because of theological biases, seeks or focuses on Greek.

Our hope and our prayer is that you will be better educated, enlightened, equipped, and encouraged in seeing just how amazingly wondrous the Word of God is in the original!

If we do our job, you will have more insight into the Bible – and thus learn and experience even more deeply about the LORD. Better equipped from the deeper and more accurate and authentic understanding of some “key” words, we can better understand and apply what the LORD desires and equips us with, through His Son the Mashiach Yeshua, and our empowering by the Ruach Hakodesh!

Please note we said some “key” words because all words of Scripture are “key”! To do all words of Scripture would require doing something on over 8,500 words (between Hebrew and KG and Aramaic).

We believe what needs to be done first is to take an extensive, intensive, in-depth look at the original Hebrew names of the LORD, Yeshua, and the Ruach Hakodesh. Why? Everything will flow from how we perceive and understand God. This determines our understanding, thinking, will, and action going forward.

In short, do we see God from the perspective of one having a “Hebrew heart”, or a “Greek mind”, i.e., from a Western perspective?

Is the LORD understood from His Hebrew Name, which as we explain, is a verb? That is, “Be”, “Exist”, “Cause to Exist”? Or, is the LORD seen as a noun, a thing or an object? Is LORD merely a designation? Or, does it tell us that He is active?

Is Yeshua seen as “JC”, an object of faith to be believed in order to “get saved”? Or is he Yeshua, which in part comes from a Hebrew verb that includes the meaning “grant vigorous existence”?

In short and to oversimplify; the “key” question is, are the “key” words of Scripture about orthodoxy or orthopraxis? Orthodoxy means “right belief”, orthopraxis “right practice”.

We once said to an Orthodox Jewish rabbi that Orthodox Judaism should be known as “Orthopraxy Judaism”, because Orthodox Judaism is far far far more about our practice than about our theology.

In short; the Greek-Western mind is concerned more with intellectual comprehending and the “right theological positions”.

The “Hebrew heart” is concerned, not with nice, neat, “definitions” of God; but rather, what does He expect us to be and do?. Once that is understood – meaning in part in Hebrew “separating out our fiction from His fact” – do we “be and do” according to His Word.

We believe a unique feature of this work for you is that it encompasses the following:

  • A very unique feature of this work will be that words utilized in the RCS will have their number of occurrences in KG listed. Not only that; we will break down for you the number of uses in the Gospel, the uses by Paul, and by others. We will also list the number of forms of the word with the total uses of it.

We believe – and certainly hope – that this will be very valuable to you. This should enable you to see for yourself where the emphasis of a “”key” word is used – and by whom.

Further, if one of the Gospels or one of Paul’s Letters has a particularly heavy usage of the word, we will point this out as well.

  • Another unique feature of this workwe will look at the meaning and significance of several “key” numbers in the Bible.

This includes an explanation of “one” which is often misunderstood/incorrectly understood – because it is thought of in English. The Hebrew for “one” is very different and in fact has to be rendered. That is, it must be opened up to explain it more fully and accurately, because as with much of Hebrew, it cannot be translated by a single word!

  • The statement “it loses something in translation” is never more true than when it comes to Hebrew! Thus, our hope by explaining “key” Hebrew words and their underpinning in the RCS is to especially bring out the deeper richness, fullness, beauty, wisdom, and accuracy and authenticity of the actual Word of God!

  • Hebrew and Greek words explained in the same section as appropriate. Thus, no need to consult separate sources for each!

  • Another “key” is that there will not only be a brief definition-explanation of each word. A number of words will have an in-depth – (we hope!) – exposition about the depth of meaning and significance of the word.

  • The Name of the LORD, the name of Yeshua, and name of the Ruach Hakodesh, praise God, already have/are in the process of having a very extensive teaching exposition and opening up.

When completed, LORD willing, they will be book-length. We would hope to turn them into an e-book and hard-copy publish (with your help).

  • The Name of the LORD is over 100 pages thus far and the name of Yeshua almost 50 pages thus far (handwritten pages, to be transcribed).

  • Another unique feature is that this information is being provided by a Jewish brother with a solid Jewish background and Jewish background in Hebrew, as well as 23+ years of extensive intensive study of the RCS in KG.

  • Getting The Most From “Flour Without End Keys to Key Words In Scripture”

  • We very strongly suggest and encourage you to first please, read-study the teachings on the Name of the LORD, the name of Yeshua, and the name of the Ruach Hakodesh. Why? What you learn we hope will then help your understanding of the rest of the “key words”! We cannot stress strongly enough that everything – everything – will flow from our understanding of God!

  • As LORD willing the work progresses, go through the “key words” before engaging with the rest of the material on our site – or elsewhere. Why? Again, as you add and grow in knowledge and understanding of-about a “key word”, you will bring that to bear in your study as you go through the “key words”.

  • We hope the list of words is comprehensive but it is not exhaustive. (Again, to do that would require doing all 8,500+ words of Scripture).

  • Words have been chosen on the basis of high frequency in the RCS and are well known to followers of Yeshua. Other words not used as frequently are chosen because they have great meaning.
  • This work is not “theological” in nature. Our concern first and foremost is to open up the deeper meaning and significance of the key words. Our concern is not one’s “position” about mercy but whether we are encouraged to “be and do” mercy. Cf. Lk. 10:37.

In short since both Yeshua especially, and the RCS as a whole, in fact put great emphasis on “be and do”, this is also our overall focus. However, virtually all key words originate in the Torah. With God’s help, we will open this up for you!

  • This in large part is because Hebrew – the overarching language of Scripture – is in part, active-action rooted; not passive-position as Greek thought.

  • That said, the intent of the work is to enlighten, educate, equip, and encourage regarding the greatest written work of all time – the Word of God!

  • May this work first and foremost be honoring to the LORD, and be for His Glory.

  • May the LORD, in the name of His Son Yeshua Hamashiach, richly bless your study!
