K’far Nachum (“Village of comfort”, “Capernaum”) as Yeshua knew it, is towards the east side of the very northern end of the Kinneret (“Sea of Galilee”). This area was very well known by Yeshua. His hometown of Natzeret (“Nazareth”) is about 5 miles west of the sea.
It is thought that Yeshua gave the Teaching On The Hill (a more accurate name than “Sermon on the Mount”) Mt. 5-7:24, to his fellow Jews of the Galil (“Galilee”), at the very northern end of the Kinneret.
K’far Nachum is not too far east of here.
The Hebrew name of the Prophet Nachum (“Nahum”) means “comfort”
