SEVEN STEPS TO YESHUA’S HEBREW HEART – INTRODUCTION

I – Yeshua’s Hebrew Heart

 

  • The great aid and advantage to life in the LORD by understanding and how to apply Yeshua’s “Hebrew heart” – without knowing a single letter of Hebrew

 

  • Why Yeshua has a “Hebrew heart”; not a “Greek mind”. This is extremely “key” to understanding and applying him to our lives as he intended, rather than the “Traditions of Men”

 

  • “In the Name of Yeshua” – How understanding the rich significance found only in the name which Yeshua called himself can draw you closer to the LORD as you seek to honor Him and pray “in the name of the Son” (cf. Acts 26:14-15, Yochanon 5:23)

  • Hannah’s Great Prayer From Her “Breathe in the throat, Life – Person – Personal Being” – 1 Samuel 1 – What “key” thing does Yeshua and the RCS speak of that is not really taught in the West and cannot be adequately “translated”? Cf. Yochanon 15:13, cf. Mk. 10:45. It is used 102 times in the RCS and is a very “key” Hebrew term, used in the RCS. (Used as many times as “sozo” “save”!)

 

  • “Key” to Hannah’s Prayer – Hint – It was not about “beseeching the LORD” for a child

 

  • The “key” thing Hannah did after the LORD answered her – something followers of Yeshua should too! (Cf. Ps. 116:14, 18-19, Mt., 11:26-37, cf. vss. 34,35)

 

  • Cornelius – the Roman Centurion With “the Hebrew Heart”. Why Cornelius and “those dependent on one another” in KG (cf. Acts 10:24) were the first Gentiles to receive the Ruach Hakodesh!

 

  • The very “key” godly and Mashiach like action – and to whom it was done by Cornelius (Acts 10) – mentioned before his prayer is mentioned Acts 10:1-5 v. 2.

The result? The LORD “called to mind, called to mind with affection, called to mind with affection leading to action”, Cornelius’ exercise of the very godly Attribute of “abounding overflowing royal loving-kindness acts of mercy; mercy translated into action.” Cf. Micah 6:8; of Yeshua in Lk. 10:37 “go strive towards (a) goal – and in connection do likewise”. Will include an in-depth look at the Hebrew of this “key” well known verse.

 

  • Ex. 34:6-7, which we teach on extensively elsewhere, because of what the LORD “calls out” to Moshe with, about Himself.

This attribute is exactly what Yeshua speaks of to “go and do likewise” in the Hebraic-Jewish-Pharisee based parable of the “Good Samaritan” Lk. 10:37.

 

  • This, that is Cornelius’ exercise of this “key” godly Attribute – the one repeated by the LORD in Ex. 34:6-7 – is no doubt why Cornelius and his household (in KG, beautifully, “those dependent on one another” Acts 10:24), are the first Gentiles to receive the Ruach Hakodesh!
  • It must be noted – Cornelius’ godly action had nothing to do with any “Gentile” exercise. We explain how two very well known “mega-ministries” – one a purported “Jewish roots” ministry (by a Gentile) – have incorrectly taught and misapplied Cornelius’ action, because they did not take it in context – nor from the KG text.

We open up how the translations of Acts 10:2 as “alms” or “gave generously” miss the KG form of this very “key” godly attribute. (KG “elenmosunas” for

elleos”, used for the Hebrew “loving-kindness – mercy” etc., as above).

  • “Key” – This attribute of the LORD is repeatedly found and used in the Psalms.   David seeks the LORD to exercise this with him, or sings of the LORD’s “loving-kindness – mercy translated into action”!

Both the LORD Micah 6:8, and the Mashiach Lk. 10:37, expect us to “go strive towards (a) goal and in connection do likewise”.

 

We open up how “key” this is to our using the Psalms for prayer!

 

  • Our concern is the effect of wrong teaching that Paul calls “gaggraina” “gangrene” 2 Tim. 2:17; see 2 Tim. 2:17-22 for the context. Far too often the richness and authenticity and accuracy of Scripture is missed because it is not taken from the original languages or taken only superficially, missing its greater depth.

 

  • As a quick but “key” note: The later Letters such as 2 Tim., Paul’s last, and Peter especially 2 Pet. and Judah – not “Jude” – particularly warn about “pseudo” “false” teaching and false “prophets”. Cf. Dt. 18:9-22 especially 17-22 about Prophets. The only place in the entire Bible the LORD gives the “qualification” of a legitimate prophet!

How many prophets today, say things that never actually come to pass – yet, they are well received and well supported

 

  • Please allow us to reiterate, as we do in our teaching; that our concern is that our brethren receive the “whole loosening – healing” that they seek or are badly in need of.

Our concern is to do everything to facilitate this!

 

  • Hezekiah – King of Israel – Why He Received 15 More Years of Life!

 

Hezekiah was told by Isaiah he would die; yet before Isaiah left Hezekiah the LORD added 15 years to Hezekiah’s life! The LORD told the great Prophet Isaiah that Hezekiah would die, yet before Isaiah even left Hezekiah’s courtyard the LORD had added 15 years to Hezekiah’s life! Why? What can we learn from Hezekiah’s prayer?

Note – hint – Hezekiah’s life was not “his”, it was His! Cf. 2 Kings 20, Isaiah 38, chapters 36-37 for the “key” background and context. (With the LORD’s help we will bring this out and learn it together).

 

“Key” – Hebrew technically has no word “have”. In Hebrew “have” is based on time not “possession”. It means “something entrusted to us temporarily for a period of time”. “Our” time is not “ours” – it is His!

 

It is extremely “key” to realize that we “have” nothing because everything in its totality is of, from, and for the LORD. In Yochanon, cf. Yochanon 5:30; Yeshua says he does nothing on his own. Cf. Mk. 10:45, on which we are including an extensive (we hope) teaching. Cf. Paul’s Hebrew heart view of the LORD filling the totality of all, Rom. 11:36, 1 Cor. 15:28; cf. Eph. 3:19, especially.

 

  • Quick but “key” side note on Eph. 3:19

 

Paul in KG uses “pleroma” “fill” as well as Hebraically expressed in Greek that God fills the “totality” of things. Why is the proper understanding of “pleroma”, “fill”, so important?

 

Matthew’s KG uses a form of “fill” in Mt. 5:17 in Yeshua’s speaking of the Torah. The English “fulfill” pertaining to the Torah is mistakenly – because it is taken from English – taken as though Yeshua says “I fulfill the Torah, thus it is ended”.

 

The KG word is used for the Hebrew “fill” referring to “filling, filling up” not “fulfilled thus ended”. An English approach leads to misunderstanding and thus incorrectly – mistakenly – taking, especially in context, not what “JC” but what Yeshua Hamashiach says in a Hebrew or Aramaic original rendered in KG by Matthew.

 

The simple proof is found in three questions. Does Yeshua say in Mt. 5:17 “I fulfilled the requirements of the Torah thus I end it?” If so, how do we account for Mt. 5:18-19 and Yeshua’s illumination of the Torah that follows through Mt. 7:24? How do we account for Acts 21-28 in which the Jewish brothers – and Paul – are clearly shown continuing to be observant of the Torah and the “customs of the Fathers”? Cf. Acts 21:20 on, 24:17-18, 28:17; cf. Acts 18:18.

 

In short, Paul speaks of God “pleroma” who “fills” the universe in Eph. 3:18. Obviously Paul does not mean “fulfill and thus ended” – as people mistakenly take/are taught Mt. 5:17. Paul in Eph. 3:19 speaks of being “filled full” with the “totality” of God. Cf. Mt. 5:48; “be complete”.

 

Paul’s idea of God Who “fills full” the universe, cf. Eph. 3:18, is very much in keeping with the Hebrew Scriptures particularly the “Shine Forth” “Songs of Praise” in Hebrew called the “Psalms” in English (from the Greek “Psalmois” “songs”), and with Jewish thought. There is no new “Western Tradition” put forth by Paul in Eph. 3:19; if anything, it is an “expansion” of Jewish and Hebrew and Pharisee ideas. (Some Western scholars on Eph. 3:18 try to say this is new; but Paul would not have a “new” idea that “now” there is a 4th dimension to the other 3 of Eph. 3:18).

 

The very opening verse of the Torah tells us this in one sense – that God is all and in all and through all.

 

This gives us “shalom”, which in part means “not just the absence of negatives but deep positive peace” and “inner harmony”; that there is absolutely nothing beyond or outside the LORD.

 

The translation “nothing is impossible with God” which the angel says to Yeshua’s mother Miriam – not “Mary” (KG “Mariam” for the Hebrew “Mir’yam”, “Miriam”) recorded in Lk. 1:37 is drawn directly from the Torah! It is first said in fact by the LORD Himself! The LORD in Gen. 18:14 says to Abraham in response to Sarah’s “laugh” that she will have a child, “the positive bearer of actuality existence, to serve as an agent, the (response) too wondrous – hidden from – (the) LORD (a) thing”.

 

When Miriam (again, not Mary!) responds to the angel in Luke’s KG rendering of a Hebraic – not KG – original “how can this be since in fact I have not (had) personal relationship, experience, intimacy (with a) man” (cf. Gen. 4:1) Lk. 1:34, the angel responds as follows.

In Luke’s KG rendering it is a form of “without power, of God (a) thing” Lk. 1:35. Luke very interestingly uses “rhema”, usually translated “word” for the Hebrew of Gen. 18:14. Luke also puts “rhema” “word” translated “anything” last in Lk. 1:35 for emphasis.

 

In fact, we probably should have rendered “thing” in Gen. 18:14 more literally as “word”, since “word” used for “thing” in Hebrew may not have been used until later according to some.

Gen. 18:14 more literally and perhaps more deeply from the LORD, Who “is the One speaking”, really says “the – too wondrous (a) word from (the) LORD”. In other words, can the LORD say a word and it is “too wondrous” for Him to do?

 

We should note the connectedness of “is it too wondrous for Sarah to have a child” Gen. 18:14, with Yeshua’s mother being responded to by the angel – from the Torah – and that Mt. 1:1 calls Yeshua “son of Abraham”.

 

For those seeking and in need of physical, emotional, spiritual or “loosening-healing” of relationship or family problems, to see the Torah as “fulfilled” and thus ended as Western Tradition teaches, may diminish rather than enhance things. Why?

 

If we take the Western Tradition approach with the Torah – which in fact is not from or sanctioned by Mashiach – away goes “nothing is impossible with God” because it is rooted in the Torah by the LORD Himself!

 

“Nothing is impossible” is not – not – an “abstraction” arrived at by post-Biblical Western Gentile leadership’s “intellect which surpasses the Law”. It is not a “theological concept” arrived at by Early Gentile leadership totally devoid of a letter of Hebrew. Nor is its source “the Institutes” or some charismatic personality’s “ecstatic experience” – “nothing is impossible with God”, but rather, it is based on the concrete experience of the Patriarchs and Jewish People!

 

If the LORD reveals this as part of His Teaching – Direction – Revelation – Law – Instruction “absorb seed in order to promote growth”, then should we not honor how the LORD reveals this revelation? Not for “theological reasons” but rather because to do so fills us with awe and wonder of Him. We thus honor Him and are more serene, have more “shalom” knowing “too wondrous (a) thing from the LORD”, has no power because it is not “more powerful” than He!

 

We elsewhere go into more depth about the issue/our concern/question, that of on one hand praying for healing while even unintended or unaware, we may think of the Torah as “Law”, the Hebrew Scriptures, “the Word of God” in the KG of the RCS as, “OT” – a term never on the lips of Yeshua – and be “numb” or “superficial” towards the Jewish People and especially our Jewish brothers.

 

We raise the question: does loyalty to the Building or “denomination” over loyalty to the Jewish brothers especially, and one’s Gentile brethren as well, actually enhance what we seek?

 

The “key” universal “Big Picture” question and our real concern is whether a Body in which the “eye” is split from the “hand” and the “ear” from the “foot”, is conducive to and facilitates a healing of the bodies of the individual parts of the whole and one another? Cf. Yochanon 17:20-23. Cf. 1 Cor. 12:12-27.

 

Would a spiritually healthier Body not very possibly positively contribute or aid the physical healing of the members since there can be no separation and compartmentalization of the spirit, and the “life-person-personal being” and the body? Cf. Paul’s wish/hope for the Thessalonians (1 Thess. 5:23 directly from Dt. 6:5) which we are including an extensive, we hope, opening up of this very, very “key” verse.

 

Why doesn’t Yeshua, in the original of Yochanon 17, “extend the hands and ask” form of prayer here, cf. Ps. 122:6 in Hebrew, “ask” that his followers have “all the right doctrinal positions, systematically arranged”, rather than that they be one as he and the Father?

 

Why doesn’t Yeshua teach his beloved Taught Ones in his last extended recorded teaching (Yochanon 13-16) that the World will know they have “given up everything to follow the life, the words, the teaching of the teacher”, by their “tongues”, “signs and wonders” and “healings”? Cf. Yochanon 13:34-35.

 

“Key” Question:

 

Do either of the two things mentioned above “doctrine” and “tongues” contribute to a healthier Body of Mashiach that is “whole”? Does Mashiach teach the Taught Ones to heal – physically – individuals – yet ignore a broken Body? Cf. Mt. 5:22-24. Might the healing of broken relationships, making the Body more whole, potentially help the healing of the individual parts of the whole? Cf. 1 Cor. 12:12-27.

 

Was Mashiach’s body broken (though no bones were broken as Scripture says) for the result to be a broken Body?

 

An extremely “key” insight about healing is found with the Prophet Isaiah in Ish. 53 a chapter commonly called the chapter on the Suffering Servant. We are, with the LORD’s help, preparing and already have some extensive opening up of one of the Bible’s greatest chapters, in Hebrew. No translation, no matter how good, can “translate” Isaiah’s tremendously devastating Hebrew in Ish. 53!

 

We look particularly closely at the end of Ish. 53:5 which is a “receiving, loosening healing in an encompassing way, to/for/our benefit; we”, in Hebrew. As we write on this “Isaiah is not Augustine or Luther”. Meaning Isaiah does not write about an inwardly focused healing for Self, but rather as the Prophet sees; “we – us”. This cannot be stressed enough!

 

In short for here; what potential positive impact might there be if we recognized – received loosening – healing for the benefit of “we” rather than a primary focus on “spectacular” healings of individuals that while obviously helpful to those individuals, does nothing to heal the broken Body of Mashiach and make it whole?

 

At a healing seminar a Christian brother looked around and said, “If these people get healed, what is going to change afterwards? If the sister in front of us in a wheelchair gets healed and she can walk away from you as her Jewish brother instead of rolling away, what is the point? What will really be any different”!

 

Imagine the tremendous potential for physical healing when Yeshua’s Hebraic universal “Big Picture” approach is applied, to the healing of the Body, and the “head movement, firstly/of first importance” Mt. 5:22-24, of first, leaving drawing near to the LORD to “be reconciled” when the brethren are split.

 

Imagine the potential when we seek to heal the Body spiritually while seeking physical healing of the individual members. Our challenge is “which would Yeshua give weight to”? Which did Yeshua focus on – the universal need or only those of the concrete specific needs of individuals? Which would Yeshua today see as our priority? Note – Yeshua would not have “separated” them – the “key” question is which would he see as the greater need, of “seeking one while doing the other” cf., Mt. 23:23.
