WHY IS THIS WEBSITE DIFFERENT? – A DEEPER EXPLANATION

Please allow us to point out how and why “this website is different”. First of course all praise and credit for the “totality” to put it Hebraically, of what we have, is to the LORD, in the name of Yeshua Hamashiach.

As we like to say “if our teaching is a blessing, praise God; if it is a curse, blame us.”

 

Please allow us to reiterate again we care about what you learn and we care about you.

In short what is different is a combination of factors – a very real solid Jewish background, time in Israel in very Jewish and Hebrew space, decades of time in substantive Jewish space, study of the Torah and Hebrew Scriptures in Hebrew and over two decades intensive study of the RCS in KG, and study of KG.

All – all – of our teaching is taken directly from the original languages – period. Why? They are the only languages God communicates directly to man in! For the Father, this is “rak ivrit” “only Hebrew”.

The Ruach Hakodesh inspires the Jewish writers of the RCS to write in a “common” form of Greek, “koine”, which contains Hebraisms and Jewish thought not picked up in English. Koine Greek is the language of much of the Roman Empire. It is very different than Attic Greek, the Greek of the philosophers and classics.

The only question about “which languages” for Mashiach is whether Hebrew or Aramaic, a close sister language spoken by Jews in their earlier Exile, is first. In any case, KG is at best a distant third, if that; and Latin an even more distant fourth – if at all! No matter how many contemporary charismatic orators hold an English translation (or any other language!) and proclaim solemnly, “the Word of God says”, the unassailable fact is that not a letter of English was – ever – on the lips of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, Joseph, Moshe, Joshua, David, Solomon, Isaiah, Nehemiah, Ezra, Yeshua, Paul, Luke, the author of Hebrews, Shimon Bar Yonah (the Aramaic formal name of “Peter”, cf. Mt. 16:15-16, Yochanon, Jacob (not “James”), and “Judah” (not “Jude”). Not one letter.

Why is this so key”? The most accurate and authentic way to understand and apply and to see and take into our hearts of the truth, beauty, wisdom, richness and depth of the Word of God is from the original languages.

We will not delve into it here except to say that we are increasingly disturbed that well intended lovers of the LORD and follows of the Mashiach, are being taught from English as though a translation were “the Word of God.”

It should be noted – any Western Tradition translation we have ever seen – and we have seen many – always states that it is the Hebrew and Greek texts which are infallible, not the translation.

In short for here looking at a myriad of translations is little better, most especially of all, with the Hebrew text.

Further, why would we work from English? Any college educated and many others can read English as well as us. What help is it to you to point out English when an English reader can read it for themselves!

Further still if we may, ministers and teachers who work from a translation and merely cite another translation become, and we mean this very gracefully, as Yeshua himself taught Hebraically “if blind lead blind will not both fall into he ditch” (Lk. 6:39). This is not only Hebraic but also very much as the Pharisees would make a point.

We said “as the Pharisees” because a common way of theirs to make a point, which both Yeshua and Paul used is, rather than making a “declarative statement” one asks a question, especially a leading question.

 

The “point” is made without a “direct statement” but by a leading question. The answer is obvious – “of course they will both fall into the ditch.” The purpose is to get one to think.

However, the “key” and our driving motivation is to work only from the original languages and open up the richness, truth, beauty, wisdom, depth and accuracy and authenticity of the Word of God from the languages He used; what better way to do so?

If one had the opportunity to see a great work of art up close or to look at a picture of it what would be the most enriching experience? Which would enable you to see the detail and the tremendous God-given talent of the artist?

If reproductions of artwork and recordings of great music were as good as seeing the original artwork or hearing one of the world’s great symphony orchestras perform live in one of the world’s great concert halls, why would there be art museums and concert halls? Why would millions attend them if a “reproduction” in some form were as “accurate” and gave the same richness otherwise?

How much more so with the Word of God! A myriad of misunderstandings and misconceptions have arisen both in the Body of Mashiach and in the world in general because the Bible seems to speak “in English”.

One of the most grievous is “an eye for an eye”, known in Latin as “lex talonis”. People assume the Torah says in effect “you poked out my eye so I poke out yours”. The Hebrew however, in short for here, is not “an eye for an eye” but an eye “in place of (literally “under” but used for “substitute” also) an eye.

The other issue of course is that for now the World does no consult the Jew to ask what the original Hebrew text actually says.

For followers of Yeshua, the single most misunderstood and incorrectly translated word and idea is “Law” in the sense of “a Western legal code of legal laws”.

This raises a “key” issue that we have pointed out in our teaching; that the Jewish writers of the Gospel and RCS do not at critical times have a KG word with the same meaning as Hebrew.

In short as we have explained in our teaching, Hebrew does not and cannot be “translated”. It must be “rendered”. That is, “to open up to and to roll out and reveal its wider meaning”.

Torah means “Teaching, Direction, Revelation, Law, Instruction” and is directly related to “absorb seed in order to promote growth”. This is actually its’ deeper meaning than “teaching”. It is also related to “to shoot an arrow”.

KG has no equivalent. In short, “nomos”, “law”, was selected because “nomosalso means “customary way of doing something” which is part of the Torah’s teaching, revelation, instruction, and law to Israel.

With the deliberate thrusting aside of the original Jewish brothers by emerging Gentile leadership as well as their deliberate rejection of Jerusalem for Athens and Greek (cf., Acts 17:16-32 – the only Biblical mention of Athens) then Rome and Latin, Torah lost its meaning!

When seen by those who not only rejected any and all things “of the Jews”, including Hebrew – which Gentile leadership knew not a letter of – the Torah became seen as “the Law; a Western legal code of legal laws”.

What many do not realize is that Yeshua – especially at very critical junctures – cites the Torah. Two of these are when he was tempted by the Enemy in Lk. 4:1-13 and when asked in the deeper original “what is the head movement time fulfilling of which leads to fullness of life” in Mk. 12:28-34 (typically translated as “what is the first commandment?”).

In each instance, why does Mashiach respond with 3 citations directly from the Torah rather than his own words (cf., Yochanon 5:19,30; 6:38: cf., Mk 14:36 “not my will?”)? In short – Yeshua cites the Torah 167 times and Paul 190-195 times; is that not enough in and of itself to ask ourselves, “What greater insight could we learn and apply?”.

As a quick but “key” note lest we forget, “eye in place of eye” mentioned above, demonstrates the Biblical principle known in Hebrew as “measure like before (a) measure”. Both Yeshua and Paul use this.

Yeshua, for example, when it comes to judging others (Mt. 7:1-2, Lk. 6:37-38, Yochanon 5:29), our own words (Mt. 12:36-37), and Yeshua’s own Judgment (Rev. 22:12, etc.).

Paul does so in the context of the Collection which he spends five years taking up from the Gentile brothers to the Jewish brothers and People in Jerusalem (Rom. 15:25-28 v. 27, Acts 24:17-18; cf., Gal 2:10). In 2 Cor. 9:6 Paul tries to coax the Corinthians with “measure like before (a) measure” by telling them Hebraically “sow sparingly, reap sparingly, sow generously, reap generously”.

This and 2 Cor. 9:7 unfortunately and not without consequences, have been taken a million times out of context! It is, applied to a myriad of Western based enterprises; but Paul’s application is not from Gentile to Gentile but Gentile to Jewish brother. This we cover very extensively, we hope, in our “The Truth About Tithing And Giving”.

A quick but very “key” example from KG, speaking of Paul’s Collection to Jerusalem as mentioned above is Acts 24:17. Acts 24:17 is typically translated as “alms” (KJV, NRSV) or “gifts to the poor” (NIV). However, Luke renders Paul’s Hebrew (cf. Acts 22:1-3) by a form of “eleos”. “Eleos” is the KG for a very “key” Attribute of the LORD in His dealing with Man (cf. the extremely “key” passage Ex. 34:6-7).

That is, in part, “an abounding overflowing royal loving kindness acts of mercy…”, “mercy translated into action”. In short, Paul does not see the Collection as merely “alms” by the Gentile followers but rather the exercise of a godly Attribute carried out by the use of material means!

“Mercy translated into action”, etc., is exactly what the Mashiach holds out as a model that the “Good Samaritan” did in Lk. 10. In Lk. 10:37 Yeshua says “go and do likewise”. That is, not merely helping someone out, but “go” in Hebrew “go-walk”has the deeper meaning “strive towards (a) goal” and exercise this godly Attribute!

In short for here it is this Attribute that the Roman centurion Cornelius exercised “polla” “much” of, towards the Jewish People (“ton laon” “the people—articular accusative used to “limit” the reference to the Jewish People – not people “in general”). Acts 10:2 “...poiwn elenmesonas pollas tw law”…”does loving kindness—mercy, very specifically referring to the people).

Lastly on this is the very “key” question as follows. Why does Yeshua speaks to Paul “b’ivrit” in Hebrew in Acts 26:14-15? Why not “en ellene” “in Greek” if Yeshua expects Paul to fundamentally and foundationally shift to Greek, Latin, or “English”? Clearly Paul has at least a solid middle level grasp of KG: why not then call to Paul in Greek at the Damascus Road? Why Hebrew? Why does the Ruach Hakodesh inspire Luke to record this detail? Why not just have Paul say “Yeshua spoke to me”?

The answer tells us that fundamentally and foundationally both Yeshua and Paul are rooted in Hebrew!

 

In short; if Yeshua really thought of himself in Latin-related terms and actually came from Greece, Italy, Western Europe, the British Isles or the American Bible Belt, then we would proclaim “JC” and teach from Latin or English…

If Yeshua calls himself Yeshua than is it not the most accurate and authentic way to approach, understand and apply him to our lives, accordingly? (Regardless of whatever way he is referred to). Is it not honoring to him to do so, to acknowledge him according to who he – not Man – says he is?

As we repeatedly repeat in our teaching; Hebrew is “wholeness, totality and connectedness” oriented and Greek “separation and compartmentalization” oriented.

The KG word “olo” “whole” is used 109 times according to our KG concordance. “Sozo” “save” 106 times. “Sxisma” “split – division” only 8 times.

Has having a de-Hebraized de-Judaized Yeshua Hamashiach “recast” in Greco-Roman-English language terms, historically and today led to a Body of Mashiach that is “whole” or that is “split-divided”?

How many “denominations” are there? Is this what Yeshua’s “horrific shriek of agony” on the Cross (the original of Mt. 27:46) in which Yeshua “shrieks out” the Hebrew of Ps. 22:1, was for?

Question:

What else is different about this website; what unique approach have you taken?

Answer:

For all our Hebrew-Jewish approach to things, one “key” Western methodological approach is this. We have taken a Koine Greek concordance, looked at the number of uses of “key” words and then asked the following. “What then is the RCS (Renewed Covenant Scriptures) emphasizing, not based on Man’s Agenda, but rather based on the number of uses of “key words”?

In short for example if “Christians” is mentioned 3 times and forms of “brothers” 370 times, where would seem to be the emphasis? If forms of “agapeo”, the verb form much better known by the noun “agape”, the highest form of love, is used 320 times and “lalein glossa” “speaking tongue” 16 times and doctrine 0 – what should we emphasize? (Regarding “doctrine” there is no Greek word “doctrine”. As we explain in our teaching, the Greek words for “teach” and “instruction” are spun by translators as “doctrine”. This is done to try to make the Text conform to post-Biblical Agendas.)

The KG words “ginomai” “be” and “poio” “do” are used 669 and 568 (technically 583) times respectively – 62% or so – disproportionately – in the Gospel.

By comparison “wait” is used 3 times in the entire RCS. There is no teaching by Mashiach on “tongues” “doctrine” and “wait”. Clearly there is a myriad of teaching on “be” and “do”!

Which would “reason and logic”, a huge component of Western Teaching, dictate we emphasize?

A quick but very “key” note that we mentioned above; is that the Jewish-Hebrew-Aramaic based writers of the RCS not uncommonly do not have a KG word that means what the Hebrew or Yeshua’s original Hebraic words mean.

One of these is “faith-belief”. The KG word “pistis” being Greek-based is idea-concept oriented. The Semitic languages of Hebrew and Aramaic are “concrete” rooted.

Meaning Hebrew’s idea is not “faith-belief” but, as we have repeatedly pointed out in our teaching, “steadfast – steadfastness”. It is related to a word picture “like a hook secure in a wall”. Why is this “key”? Yeshua is not looking for concepts and “faith-belief” but “steadfastness” in the Father and in Yeshua as Mashiach. Yeshua is in effect really not saying “believe in me” per se but rather “hang your steadfastness on me like a hook secure in a wall”!

This fundamentally and foundationally changes our orientation and grounding; from “concept” to “concrete”. In the same way a “Hebrew heart” in the LORD is active and seeks to “be and do” as Mashiach! A “Greek mind” too often is passive, resulting in “positions on the LORD and the Bible”. This tends to lead to “waiting”; rather than doing what we are equipped by the Ruach Hakodesh to do!

Let us please remember that the LORD works through His Creation – including Man. The Bible shows this is especially through the Jew and Jewish brother, and through history and historical and cultural circumstances. Yeshua never said he would supernaturally appear to all, who would then accept or reject him. He initially personally called eleven Galilean Jews and one Judean Jew, some of whom began as not at all formally educated fishermen.

These Jewish brothers, and another Jewish brother who was very formally educated (Paul, cf. Acts 22:1-3, 23:6, Gal. 1:13-15, Phpn. 3:5) and perfectly equipped by that training to make decisions and answer questions and provide rulings changed the World forever! (1 Cor. 7:17, 2 Cor. 8:8, vss. 10-11; cf. also the Jerusalem Council of the Jewish brothers Acts 15 – cf. vss 15-23, vss. 24-30)!

The LORD worked through Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and Joseph. Moshe was not called to “watch and wait”; but rather, was extremely involved by the LORD. As were Joshua and David and Solomon and the Prophets and Daniel and Ezra and Nehemiah and the great women of the Bible.

In the very last Letter, 3 Yochanon, we do not see Yochanon encouraging the steadfast brother Gaius – who after being brought to the LORD by Paul, dedicated himself to repaying it by helping the brothers for 3 decades – to “wait”. Yochanon encourages Gaius to continue to help the brothers and provide materially for them (3 Yochanon 5-8).

In short, please allow us to reiterate that our KG concordance shows about 2 dozen more uses of “agapeo” “the highest form of love”, as a verb rather than the noun “agape”.

 

Question:

What else is the website about and why, and is it for me?

Answer:

Ps. 34:9(H) – 1 Pet. 2:23, Mt. 28:18-20, Yochanon 21:15-18, Judah (not “Jude”) v. 3, and Phpn. 2:2-3. (Jacob hopes to do a teaching on these verses soon)

 

The website is a “place to be loved and to love others” and a “judgment-free zone”. It is, as poorly and inefficiently as we will do so, to try to “fill full” the “mission – function – purpose” of the Jewish People, to be “to – for – benefit (a) light to the Nations (Ish. 42:6, cf. 43L10; cf. Mt 5:14, v. 16). It is to provide substantive material for the serious Bible student; Jewish light not lite and Jewish substance – not style.

It is also for those who are not followers of Mashiach, or those seeking or who have questions or are seriously curious about the LORD and the Word of God. It is for all, to “taste, reason, sense, contemplate and see, for as a model, in an encompassing way good well-being (is the) LORD” Ps. 34:9 (H).

It is to, as Yeshua instructed the original Jewish brothers “Go – strive towards (a) goal, make “taught ones” (“disciples” in English) – those who have given everything up to follow the life, the words, the teaching of the teacher. Mt. 28:19-20, cf. Mk 8:34.

In short; to “be and do” as Yeshua by the acquisition and actualization, and putting into action, of godly and Mashiach-like character, ethics, morals and integrity.

Even shorter, to make more Mashiach-like followers of Yeshua! (Cf., Mk. 10:45 from Ish. 53:12, Yochanon 13:15, etc., etc.).

Question:

How do you plan to do so; and do you have an “Agenda”?

Answer:

To the last part, “No!”. We very early on saw Agenda driven emphasis with the Bible being used to back up the Agenda, rather than deriving things from the Bible.

Right then and there we vowed to the LORD that we would not do that. That is with His help, to take out and go forward from the Word – not the reverse!

This is our very unique approach we believe; looking at a KG concordance and seeing what things are spoken of in great number and what are not. We do not dismiss, God forbid, something mentioned once or twice.

However if something is mentioned by Yeshua say 100 times and something else once, where is Mashiach’s emphasis?

A quick but very “key” actual example: the 111 references to the Kingdom in the Gospel versus 1 reference to the Assembly in the universal sense.

Which does Mashiach emphasize and what do followers hear more of?

Thus by providing a “List” of “key” words from a KG concordance one can compare for themselves the number of references to something.   To put it Hebraically, by giving people a “tape measure” they can “measure” for themselves as follows:

 

  • What seems to be emphasized
  • What is not emphasized as much
  • Does what I hear or am taught “match up with the Word?”
  • Are things in balance and proportional or are they out of balance?

 

Everyone knows that too much or too little of “key” physical nutrients can be unhealthy or God forbid life-threatening; how much more so spiritually!

Just as there are or well can be physical consequences for avoiding “key foods” “I don’t like the taste” – or, for ingesting toxins and poisons, so too spiritually! The later RCS Letters especially mention false, wrong, and “pseudo” false teaching.

Thus in keeping with Yeshua’s charge to his beloved Peter, “If you love me, feed my sheep”, a totally Hebrew and Jewish expression (Yochanon 21:15-18) to expend every effort to provide the correct spiritual food in order to honor the LORD and serve Him by serving others.

 

Question:

How specifically do you plan to do so?

Answer:

As we hope we have opened up above, by opening up the unique richness, depth, truth, beauty and wisdom and illumination and accuracy and authenticity of the original languages.

We believe the LORD has equipped us with a unique though not exclusive combination of Jewish background, life in Yeshua, language skills and understanding and knowledge of “key” historical and cultural backgrounds and contexts, which are especially “key” for properly interpreting the Letters of the RCS.

The above helps us to hear more closely the “voice” of Moshe and that of the Prophets, the Psalmists and the Mashiach. Further, that unlike those with even better KG skills, to nonetheless “hear” not only the “Hebrew heart” of the Jewish Letter writers but especially in the case of Paul, as well as the Mashiach, when they draw from Pharisee and rabbinic thinking and expression.

After reading Romans for the first time straight through, we were shocked that this was not the “first advocate of the Institutes” but rather a totally rabbinic approach!

Specifically in addition to trying to emphasize the emphasis of the RCS based on a KG concordance rather than a Tradition-driven Agenda, to do two things when it comes to making, not “believers in JC” but “followers, those on the path of me”, that is, the Mashiach Yeshua (Mk 8:34).

 

  • The Master’s Plan

To take an existing Torah-based Jewish model and adapted for Gentiles as Gentiles and of course with the RCS included!

This ironically for all our criticism of Western Teaching as based too often on a non-Biblical model, systematically approaches how to make more Mashiach-like followers.

The problem with “systematic theology”, besides the fact that neither Moshe, Yeshua nor Paul are “systematic theologians”, is not as much the “systematic” part as it is the “theology” part.

Again, the RCS has 669 uses of forms of “ginomai” “be” and 568 uses of “poio” “do, make”. Again, 62% are in the Gospel.

The “Teaching on The Hill” (a better title than “The Sermon on the Mount”), since 1st-century Israelis taught not gave some extended “sermons”, is not all systematic. Neither is Yeshua’s last extended recorded teaching and prayer (Yochanon 13-17) any more “systematic” than Mt. 5-7 and Lk. 6, “The Teaching on The Plain”.

The Book of Acts begins with Yeshua teaching the Taught Ones for 40 days about the Kingdom before his Ascension. Nothing “systematic” is evidenced there though there is no detail of Yeshua’s teaching.

Neither is the “Great Re-Sending” in Mt. 28:18-20 (again, a better name than the “Great Commission”) as we teach on Mt. 28:18-20. Nor are Yeshua’s last recorded words of admonishing rebuke in Rev. 2-3 to the 7 assemblies – but positive encouragement to the specific individual who “overcomes – is victorious” – over the pagan-based teachings and practices his or her assembly is enmeshed in, “systematic”.

In short, as we have pointed out elsewhere, for Romans to be the “magnum opus” (greatest work) of Paul’s “systematic theology”, the order of Romans’ chapters would have to be completely different.

However, a logical systematic approach of teaching in implementing “The Master’s Plan” makes it striving towards a goal more in a straight line.

Initially there will be a number of topical teachings on “key” topics. To start, these are those that resonate with many followers; Yeshua’s Hebrew name, tithing, the most beloved Psalm, Ps. 23 “The LORD is shepherd of me”, our “Seven Steps to Yeshua’s Hebrew Heart”, the Psalms, Prayer, And A “Whole Loosening – Healing”, and Love.

We believe this will be far and away the most comprehensive teaching on this! Just preparing it has added 15 more months to getting the website going!

It consists of:

  • An in-depth comprehensive look at the “key” understanding of Hebrew in order to help better understand Yeshua’s “Hebrew heart”. This is absolutely vital for understanding Yeshua as he not Man intended! (No knowledge of any Hebrew is required to acquire a “Hebrew heart”).

 

  • An in-depth and very different “Bigger Picture” approach to the “Shine Forth” “Songs of Praise” including how best not to utilize them and how to utilize the Psalms. We are including 36 Psalms used traditionally for those that are ill (something already done in the Jewish community). We will include a “key”verse for each with the richness of the Hebrew opened up. We will we believe uniquely include something if that verse or something similar in that Psalm is also cited in the RCS. This is based on our KG Translators Edition Index of Quotations.

 

PRAYER:

An in-depth look at the meaning of the main Hebrew word (of at least a dozen) for prayer. It is also the word Yeshua uses with the LORD’s Prayer Mt. 6:7-10. (For our teaching on the LORD’s Prayer we hope to do an audio teaching on this at some point).

Biblical based prayer is not as Greek “hope” nor Olde English “wish”. In part it is in fact not to change God, which is what the ancient pagans tried to with their “gods”. Rather, it is to take in the things of the LORD outside of ourselves that we need to take into us– and thus to change us!

In short this is done by, once we understand, that is have “separated out our fiction from God’s fact”, asking “LORD, what are your standards and measures?”.   Do we understand them; and if we do, are we willing to change to conform to your Will (cf. Mt. 7:21-24, etc.)?

We will take an in-depth comprehensive look at virtually all the great prayers for healing in the Bible which are actually found in the Hebrew Bible. (We will also look at Jacob – not “James” – 5:13-16).

Did you know that not only is Abraham called a Prophet by the LORD, the first prayer by Man to the LORD is an intercessory prayer by Abraham on behalf of someone else (Gen. 20)?

“Intercede – intercessory” is part of the main Hebrew word for prayer.

Intercessory prayer is actually rooted in and based in the Torah and Hebrew!

The post-Biblical diminishing, denigration, and downgrading of the Hebrew Scriptures as “OT” – a term never found on the lips of Yeshua or used by him – led to an incalculably valuable loss of teaching, insight, revelation, beauty, truth and valuable lessons for followers of Yeshua.

As we ask in our teaching on Yeshua’s Temptings in Lk. 4:1-15, “If the Torah is good enough for the Mashiach to answer the Enemy 3 times with (all perfectly in context!) why isn’t it good enough for you”?

We will take an in-depth look at “heal” in Hebrew which literally means “loosen”. Healing in Hebrew is really “loosening – healing”. One of the KG words for “heal” is similar – used for a similar idea. We will also look at the various KG words for healing.

As a quick but “key” note – “gifts of healing” in KG is “xarismata iamaton” whose actual meaning is “gifts of means of healing”.

It is in fact only used 3 times in the entire RCS, all in 1 Cor. 12.

By comparison however though many (understandably) pursue “gifts of healing”, the overall weight of the RCS is given to pursuing and living out the godly and Mashiach like attributes of godly character and moral and ethical conduct and activity (Cf. Heb. 12:14 et al).

It is extremely extremely “key” that we understand and be aware that the “separation and compartmentalization” that has and continues to plague the Body of Mashiach is very largely due to the rejection of Jerusalem for Athens.

Why is this so “key”? It means the rejection of the Bible’s “wholeness totality and connectedness” because it is rooted in Jerusalem, i.e. Hebrew, and instead instilling and infusing “separation and compartmentalization” from Athen’s Greek, into the Body.

Plato, who was hugely embraced by the Early Gentile Fathers until eventually replaced by Aristotle, said “the soul consists of 3 compartments”.

Paul by comparison drew completely directly from Hebrew in his KG expressed wish and encouragement to the Thessalonians in 1 Thess. 5:23 that they be found – collectively not individualistically – “oloteleis” and “olokleron”, that is, “wholly complete, having reached the goal” and basically a “whole heritage – whole (in their) inheritance”. “Kleron” is a form of “kleronomia” “inheritance”, a key Hebrew word in the Torah.

As the Greek thinking pagan religious minded Corinthians especially all too sadly show, Gentile followers too often thought “soul saved, body separate, I can indulge desires of my Self”.

Paul the Pharisee, Jew, and “Hebrew hearted” (Acts 21:20 on, 22:1-3, 23:6, 24:18, v. 25, 26:5, 28:17-19, 2 Cor. 11:2, Phpn. 3:5 Cf. Acts 26:14-15) sees spirit-life-soul as part of a whole.

As we pointed out above the KG “olo” “whole” is used 109 times – 3 more uses than the 106 uses of “sozo”-”save”- and “sxisma” “split-division” – used 8 times.

Which then is the RCS emphasis and would seem to be the norm? Why are there actually more uses of “whole” in the RCS KG text than “sozo”-”save” yet “whole” is given no emphasis, weight, or teaching?

Paul in 1 Thess. 5:23 refers to the God of “shalom” as he does a few years later in 1 Cor. 14:33. “Shalom” in Hebrew has the deeper meaning in part of “restoration of relationship, concern for the well-being of others… not just a superficial co-existence but a harmony and an organic interaction”.

God is not called a God of splits, divisions, and “denominations”. Is healing physically really “separate and compartmentalized” from spiritual healing?

What if the Body pursued the “loosening healing” of the Body as it does the physical healing of its’ individual members?

If the Body of Mashiach were more “whole” or at least “striving towards (a) goal” to do so, might it possibly have a physical effect too? Would the individual members be worse off (God forbid!) physically?

We will thus also look at “key” attributes such as “loving-kindness mercy” translated into action – cf. Yeshua’s “go and do likewise” Lk. 10:37, cf. Micah 6:8, shalom, righteousness, and love as “part of the whole” for healing.

In short for here, Yeshua in Yochanon 14:27 leaves with his beloved Galilean Jewish brothers not “peace” as English, but rather “shalom” from Hebrew with all the breadth of its’ full meaning!

Please see our forthcoming extended teaching on “shalom”. The KG word “eirene” whose meaning is said to be influenced by the Hebrew “shalom”, is used 92 times in the RCS.

Paul uses it in all 13 of his Letters. By comparison “tongues” and “gifts of means of healing” are found only in 1 Cor. – 1 Cor. 12 and 14. Paul’s real emphasis is the “wholeness” and the “connectedness” of the members of the Body 1 Cor. 12:12-27!
